En el mes de septiembre la Ministra de las TIC Karen Abudinen se comprometió con el gobernador de Risaralda Victor Manuel Tamayo y la Secretaria de Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación Jennifer Bolívar Lizalda con el proyecto de conectividad para 120 colegios de los lugares más apartados de Risaralda.
Con la adjudicación del proyecto de conectividad a los operadores para todo el país; en Risaralda, las instituciones de las zonas rurales contarán con internet gratuito y una velocidad de navegación mínima de entre 12Mbps y 21Mbps por 10 años, dependiendo del número de estudiantes.
Con este proyecto de conectividad, el departamento comienza a cerrar su brecha digital en las zonas más apartadas y los ganadores son los niños quienes podrán disfrutar de conectividad a internet hasta el 2031, permitiendo a los chicos conectarse y acceder a toda la información que tiene el mundo virtual para estudiar y aprender.
Desde La Gobernación de Risaralda y La Secretaría TIC agradecemos la gestión realizada por la ministra TIC Karen Abudinen de incluir en el proyecto de conectividad las instituciones rurales y más apartadas, además de aumentar los puntos de conexión gratuitos, permitiendo que la tecnología y sus oportunidades lleguen a los lugares más apartados de cada municipio de nuestro departamento.
