Con un mercado campesino y de emprendedores, la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico y Competitividad de Pereira programó una nueva reactivación económica en el Parque Mirador de Altagracia.
La articulación de la Oficina de Turismo de Pereira propició la presencia de campesinos de Altagracia y de Arabia, quienes vendieron productos frescos, a buen precio y cultivados por ellos mismos. En las carpas, los visitantes pudieron adquirir cebolla, pepinos, lulo, plátano, yuca, limones, guayaba dulce y calabacines, entre otros productos.
Simultáneamente, la activación económica benefició a emprendedores de la zona, que también ofrecieron antigüedades, cafés especiales, bonsai, canastas elaboradas a partir de fique y de tapas de gaseosa, prendas de vestir y alientos, como tortas artesanales, carne a la llanera, empanadas, solteritas, obleas, tortas de chócolo, papas rellenas y jugo de naranja.
La Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico y Competitividad de Pereira, a través de la Oficina de Turismo, tiene el objetivo de reactivar todos sus corredores turísticos, entre ellos el de Altagracia – Arabia y para ello promueve diversas actividades que motiven la presencia de visitantes a este sector.
