El departamento continúa consolidando el turismo como uno de los bastiones de su recuperación económica propiciada por la pandemia.

El impulso se debería a que los viajeros han experimentado una transformación en su forma de viajar, tendencias y preferencias.
Un reciente informe de la Asociación Colombiana de Agencia de Viajes y Turismo (ANATO) dio a conocer datos positivos sobre la recuperación del turismo en el departamento, llegando incluso a superar las cifras de reactivación de otros departamentos.
Desde la Gobernación de Risaralda, a través de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico y Competitividad, se vienen haciendo importantes y significativos esfuerzos para promocionar el departamento en materia turística, lo que ha permitido que la región sea uno de los principales destinos de los viajeros nacionales e internacionales.
La secretaria de desarrollo económico y competitividad, Ana María Valencia Gómez, expreso que a pesar de los efectos adversos que ha causado la pandemia del Covid- 19, cada vez aumenta el optimismo de las agencias de viaje de Risaralda en la reactivación económica que se lidera desde la administración departamental y que cuenta con el apoyo decidido del sector privado.
Así lo reveló la cuarta entrega de la encuesta de Anato sobre la situación de reactivación de las agencias de viajes, en la que participaron 133 empresas del sector en todo el país, 8 de ellas en Risaralda y que se efectuó entre el 12 y el 28 de julio de este año.
“Hay que mencionar que el objetivo del informe es conocer el comportamiento del mercado, de acuerdo a las medidas de reapertura de las agencias de viajes y la dinámica con relación a la reactivación gradual de la economía y del sector de los viajes y el turismo durante”, expresó la funcionaria.
Según el informe, el 80% de las agencias de viajes asociadas a Anato esperan recuperar el nivel de ventas previo a la pandemia antes de 2 años, lo que representó un incremento del optimismo, ya que para en la edición anterior de la encuesta el porcentaje fue del 55 %.
Este mayor optimismo se registra gracias a que durante el primer semestre del 2021, las agencias de viajes asociadas a Anato alcanzaron un nivel de reactivación en sus ventas del 35%.
En el periodo mencionado, los viajes internos fueron los más comercializados en el país, representando un 64 %, mientras que el 36 % fueron internacional.
Valencia Gómez recordó que a Risaralda no solo llegan los turistas que adquieren sus planes turísticos por medio de las agencias de viajes, también el departamento recibe muchas que viajan por carretera y que pagan los servicios turísticos directamente en los establecimientos del sector.
En el puente festivo de agosto de este 2021, Risaralda fue la cuarta región del país con mayor ocupación hotelera (más del 82 % de camas ocupadas) y el primero sin contar con los destinos de sol y playa.
Y es que el departamento es una verdadera potencia de turismo de naturaleza, ofreciendo importantes atributos como el Paisaje Cultural Cafetero, imponentes cascadas, hermosos senderos y la posibilidad de disfrutar del avistamiento de aves como en ninguna región del mundo.
Señala la encuesta de Anato que “las Agencias de Viajes continúan adaptándose a la nueva realidad del mercado, donde medidas como la exención del IVA han sido positivas para las ventas. Sin embargo, ante una alta reducción del empleo, el constante apoyo en este campo es fundamental para su recuperación.
