Facebook indicó la noche del lunes en un comunicado que la interrupción mayor de sus redes y servicios de mensajería fue causada por un “cambio de configuración defectuoso” de sus servidores, que impidió a los usuarios acceder a la plataforma, Instagram, WhatsApp o Messenger durante unas siete horas.
“Las personas y empresas en el mundo dependen de nosotros para seguir conectadas”, anotó el grupo, que hasta el momento era prácticamente silencioso respecto al excepcional incidente. “Presentamos nuestras disculpas a quienes resultaron afectados”, agregó Facebook, en referencia a posiblemente miles de millones de personas en el mundo, según diversos expertos en ciberseguridad.
