En la ceremonia de condecoración el Gobernado Victor Manuel Tamayo Vargas estuvo acompañado por la Primera Dama de Risaralda, Nathalia Sierra Ramírez, sus hijos Esteban y Alejandro y algunos funcionarios de su administración.
El próximo año en las fiestas de Las Araucarias 2022, se espera volver a romper el record guiness con el chorizo más largo del mundo, lugar que fue arrebatado recientemente por Tamaulipas México que superó a Santa Rosa con más de 2.600 metros de chorizo.
Con la Orden Araucaria de Oro y la distinción como Hijo Honorífico de Santa Rosa de Cabal, fue condecorado el Gobernador de Risaralda, Victor Manuel Tamayo Vargas, en el marco de la celebración de los 177 años de vida administrativa del municipio de Las Araucarias.
La condecoración fue impuesta por el alcalde José Rodrigo Toro Montes, quien señaló en su discurso que “Todos los que lo conocemos sabemos que desde que inició su vida política a los 18 años se ha dedicado al servicio de los santarrosanos, en especial de los más vulnerables, por eso además de la Araucaria de Oro, se le concede el título de Hijo Honorífico”.
Aseguró además que es ejemplar la trayectoria del Gobernador en el sector público, en lo personal, en lo profesional y por su contribución al desarrollo del Departamento, “es de resaltar que ha dejado en alto el nombre de Santa Rosa de Cabal dadas las posiciones en las que se ha desempeñado desde su sentir social y ha impactado a miles de familias en el Departamento, por eso hoy se hace honor a los méritos conseguidos durante su carrera profesional y por su constante labor por el bienestar de los risaraldenses”, indicó el mandatario de los santarrosanos.
Tamayo Vargas en su discurso agradeció las atenciones prestadas y manifestó su orgullo por representar a los santarrosanos en el país, además de que aprovechó para informar a los presentes las buenas noticias que tiene su administración para el municipio tales como:
- Servicios de segundo nivel para el Hospital, con el fin de evitar que la ciudadanía se traslade a Dosquebradas o a Pereira para una cita con el especialista.
- La culminación del Teatro, para el cual fueron adjudicados $9.000 millones de pesos, obras que empezarán en un mes aproximadamente.
- La construcción de la doble calzada La Postrera – Santa Rosa, ya se tienen los recursos y las obras comenzarán a principios del próximo año.
Informó que la próxima semana se reunirá con la comunidad religiosa propietaria del colegio Veracruz con el fin de comprar el lote, en dónde en 4 mil metros construirá el Palacio de Justicia del municipio. Se requiere el apoyo del alcalde para cambiar el uso del suelo de ese sector.
Gracias a la empresa de Aguas y Aseo de Risaralda, se cambiará la imagen de calle 16 y la carrera 21 para que sea una entrada bella desde la iglesia San Vicente hasta el Parque de Las Araucarias. “Quedará similar a lo que se hizo en la carrera 14 entre calles 13 a 16 en donde podemos caminar tranquilamente porque quedó semi-peatonal”.
A través de la Ley de Regalías, vamos a contratar los estudios y diseños para pavimentar dos tramos de dos kilómetros aproximadamente en las vías a los dos termales, Santa Rosa y San Vicente. En los estudios también se proyectará la pavimentación de la vía El Jazmín – El Lembo y El Jazmín – Guacas, así como la vía al corregimiento de El Español.
A través de gestiones con una empresa nacional de confecciones, se están buscando bodegas para abrir su sede en Santa Rosa, proyecto con el cual se generará trabajo para 200 mujeres que van a hacer capacitadas por el Sena.
En cuanto a logros ya obtenidos, mencionó los nuevos diseños del Colegio Labouré, evitando el plan inicial de construirlo en otro sector lejos de la sede actual. “Debo decirles que lo vamos a construir en el mismo lugar donde ha funcionado siempre. La Alcaldía nos dio las licencias para empezar la demolición y construcción y la Gobernación ha aportado $3.121 millones de pesos para hacer el cierre financiero y poder comenzar”.
