55 niños de las veredas La independencia, La Palma, La Esperanza y La Esmeralda de la Serranía Alto del Nudo, participaron de una jornada liderada por la Secretaria de Cultura Recreación y Deportes, donde por medio del programa ‘Lectura en voz alta’ de la Biblioteca Municipal, incentivaron la lectura compartida y en grupo como medio para afianzar la comprensión lectora.
El evento se realizó en el parque Lagos de La Pradera, donde los menores también disfrutaron gratuitamente de atracciones como las canoas y de espacios deportivos como la piscina y canchas.
“Para la Administración municipal es de gran importancia el sector rural, por eso quisimos invitar a todos los niños del sector rural a que conocieran las instalaciones del lago La Pradera y todas sus atracciones en acompañamiento con diferentes instructores y monitores”, indicó el secretario de Cultura Recreación y Deportes, Andrés Díaz.
Cuentos como ‘Estrellita y Sus Amigos’, ‘El baile de Disfraces’, ‘El Gato Garuz’ y ‘Doña Serpentina Cascabelina’, fueron algunas de las lecturas realizadas por la escritora Ninfa Marín Escudero, que participó de esta jornada cultural en beneficio de los niños del municipio.
Por su parte, Mónica Grisales, madre de familia y habitante de la vereda La Palma, manifestó la importancia de este espacio para “los niños que están en desarrollo, y la actividad del día de hoy muy chévere, porque aparte de diversión también hubo lectura, que es algo que se va dejando muy atrás y que no debería ser así”.
