Una visita técnica con ingenieros adscritos a la Secretaría de Infraestructura de Risaralda y de la Secretaría de Planeación Municipal, con presencia de Gestión del Riesgo local y en atención al llamado urgente emitido por el Alcalde Alberto Rivera Cifuentes, se cumplió en el Sector de Milancito sobre la vía que de Marsella comunica con el municipio de Chinchiná Caldas, en la que luego de una inspección al sitio donde se presentó un asentamiento diferencial de aproximadamente 70 metros de longitud, fueron determinadas las acciones que con prontitud deben ser emprendidas para restablecer en óptimas condiciones el paso vehicular, al tanto de manera conjunta se inician las obras de mitigación en este importante tramo de comunicación con la localidad.
De acuerdo a los funcionarios, la principal causa que generó la emergencia vial en este paso que de años atrás presenta una falla geológica, se atribuye a las permanentes lluvias que aumentaron el nivel freático del terreno, saturando los suelos, sumado al desconfinamiento por el paso del río, generando que el equilibrio de masas se pierda de manera progresiva, con un considerable movimiento el cual llegó hasta la vía y generó los asentamientos y hundimientos allí presentados.
En lo que tiene que ver con el pronto restablecimiento del paso vehicular por este sitio, será destinada maquinaria y operarios por parte del gobierno local y departamental, para ser emprendidas adecuaciones iniciales de conformación de la vía y dar paso provisional, al tiempo que sean iniciadas las intervenciones definitivas que consistirán en la desaturación del terreno con trabajos que permitan un adecuado cauce de las aguas para su correcta disposición hacia el afluente mediante canales de disipación, drenajes, contenciones en la parte de abajo con el fin de evitar continuas socavaciones, para luego poder reponer en su totalidad la vía con conformación y estructura de pavimento.
