Luego de tres años del lanzamiento de la quinta generación de la Subaru Forester, el fabricante japonés anunció una actualización de esta SUV con importantes novedades estéticas y de equipamiento tecnológico.
Este restyling le aporta a la Forester un moderno diseño, mayor confort y seguridad, para vivir aventuras tanto en carretera como fuera de ella, gracias a que conserva todo el ADN de Subaru, lo que le permite vivir a todos sus ocupantes una experiencia audaz, vibrante y tranquila en todo tipo de terreno.
“Con esta actualización de la Forester, Subaru le responde a todos los seguidores de la marca y en especial a los de este modelo, que esperaban una renovación de la quinta generación de esta SUV y que por años ha sido un referente de la industria en su segmento en Colombia y en el mundo”, comenta Mauricio Hernández, VP Retail – Passenger Cars PracoDidacol.
Fabricado sobre la Plataforma Global de Subaru (SGP), la Forester 2022 viene con mejoras en la rigidez del chasis, la suspensión y los estabilizadores, que absorben de manera eficiente los impactos e irregularidades de la carretera, permitiendo un mayor confort y menor fatiga de los ocupantes en sus viajes.
El nuevo Forester 2022, vendrá disponible para Colombia en cuatro versiones según su equipamiento y motorización: Forester 2.0 Dynamic, Forester 2.5 Advance, Forester 2.5 Sport, Forester 2.5 EyeSight, Forester Hybrid Prime, Forester Hybrid Elite.
En cuanto a su exterior, estrena una nueva cara mediante un atrevido y moderno diseño, en donde se destacan sus faros delanteros con tecnología LED que le aportan un estilo más sofisticado, complementado de manera armoniosa por un renovado frente.
La parrilla en forma de hexágono, es ahora más ancha y con detalles de diseño en su interior que la hacen ver más deportiva. De igual forma recibió cambios en el parachoques, así como en sus extremos laterales inferiores donde van alojadas las luces antiniebla LED, las cuales fueron reubicadas para iluminar mejor el camino.
El portón trasero también presenta cambios en cuanto a sus líneas y diseño en concordancia con su frente. Adicionalmente, Subaru adicionó tres colores de carrocería y estrena diseños de rines de aleación de hasta 18 pulgadas.
El interior del Forester 2022 brinda máximo confort a cada pasajero en cada asiento y posee un generoso espacio de carga con piso plano que facilita llevar artículos largos.
Sus revestimientos tanto de la consola central como en los paneles de las puertas tienen ahora mejores materiales, son de fácil limpieza y suaves al tacto.
Desempeño y equipamiento
Los cambios no son solo estéticos, los ingenieros de la marca aprovecharon para mejorar el funcionamiento del sistema de info-entretenimiento, el sistema de transmisión, y el asistente de conducción EyeSight.
Las versiones Forester 2.0 y 2.0 Sport EyeSight, alojan bajo su capot, el motor bóxer de 2.0 litros que entrega 156 hp y un excepcional torque de 196 Nm, acompañado por una transmisión Lineartronic de nueva generación y AWD
El tope de la gama Forester 2022 de combustión interna, equipa un motor BOXER de 4 cilindros, DOHC de 16 válvulas a gasolina, de 2.5 litros, que entrega 184 CV / 5.800 rpm y un torque de 239 Nm (24,4 kgfm) / 4.400 rpm, asociado a la mejorada transmisión Lineartronic y AWD.
“Los ajustes realizados a la transmisión mediante cambios de marchas más suaves y sin escalonamientos, permite aprovechar toda la eficiencia del motor, que se ve representada en una aceleración fluida, muy deportiva y con una mejor eficiencia en el consumo de combustible”, agrega Hernández.
En cuanto a la Forester e-BOXER hybrid 2022, combina el motor de inyección directa de 2.0 litros, 150 hp y 190 Nm de torque con un motor eléctrico de 12.3 kw (16.7 CV), que proporciona una conducción deportiva, algo característico y que no puede faltar en un Subaru.
Gracias a la disposición longitudinal de su motor e-BOXER, se obtiene un bajo centro de gravedad y la tracción integral simétrica, mejora la distribución del peso aportando una mayor estabilidad.
Toda la gama Forester cuenta por supuesto con tracción integral mediante el avanzado sistema Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive de Subaru, (SAWD) el cual
distribuye la potencia a todas las ruedas, para una mejor tracción en terrenos húmedos y resbaladizos.
Con el sistema X-MODE, el conductor tiene la opción de seleccionar SNOW/DIRT o D.SNOW/MUD, para conducir con confianza y seguridad en caminos escabrosos y difíciles de tierra y barro respectivamente. Además, mediante el Control de Descenso en Pendientes (CDP), le ayuda a mantener una velocidad controlada y constante, incluso en superficies resbaladizas.
El mejorado sistema de infoentretenimiento permite una conectividad a través de dispositivos móviles inteligentes compatibles con Apple CarPlay y Android Auto, está diseñado además, para entregar funcionalidad y facilidad de uso a todos los ocupantes, mediante entradas auxiliares USB en la parte delantera y trasera del habitáculo de la camioneta.
Para mejorar aun más el confort, el asiento del conductor posee mandos electrónicos con 8 posiciones, además de memoria para dos conductores diferentes. Incluye salidas de aire graduales en la parte trasera y todo el sistema de ventilación es dual, lo cual permite una distribución adecuada en todo el vehículo.
Más tecnología enfocada a la seguridad
“En Subaru la seguridad es lo primero, y por más de 50 años ha probado y reexaminando sus avanzados sistemas con base en su política de ‘las personas primero’, mejorando la seguridad en todos los aspectos, para concebir un futuro sin accidentes”, afirma Hernández.
La última generación del asistente de conducción EyeSight desarrollado por Subaru, que viene disponible en las versiones Forester 2.0 Sport, 2.5 Litros y e-BOXER, proporciona ahora a los conductores más tranquilidad en carretera, gracias a que su cámara estéreo, tiene ahora un mayor ángulo de visión.
Adicionalmente las actualizaciones del software de control y reconocimiento de imágenes, además de las mejoras del hardware, posibilitan un manejo más confiable y seguro en muchas situaciones de conducción.
El sistema EyeSight equipa las funciones de: Frenado Previo a la Colisión, Control Crucero Adaptativo, Prevención de Salida Involuntaria de Carril, Dirección de Emergencia Autónoma, Control de Centrado de Carril y Control de Dirección Adaptativo del Vehículo Anterior, y Gestión del Acelerador Previo a la Colisión.
Se destaca la nueva función de Dirección de Emergencia Autónoma en la cual cuando la asistencia de frenado no es suficiente antes de la colisión, mediante la cámara estéreo y el radar trasero, EyeSight detecta las marcas de los carriles y juzga si hay suficiente espacio para maniobrar y evitar de forma segura, una colisión con un objeto adelante.
Otro punto a destacar dentro del apartado de seguridad, es un completo paquete de airbags: dos frontales delanteros, dos laterales delanteros, dos de cortina y dos para las rodillas como equipo estándar en el Forester, para brindar a todos los pasajeros el más alto nivel de protección en caso de una colisión.
Equipa también Control Electrónico de Estabilidad, Faros Sensibles a la Dirección, Sistema de Detección Trasera de Vehículos, Frenado Automático de marcha hacia atrás y asistente automático de luces de carretera.
Todo este equipamiento ha hecho que la Subaru Forester haya sido galardonada con 5 estrellas de seguridad y sea considerada como el vehículo más seguro de su segmento.
