- Diversificar el portafolio exportador, el gran reto que asumió la Gobernación de Risaralda
- Las exportaciones de Risaralda representaron en promedio 1,2 % de las exportaciones nacionales.
Por primera vez Risaralda cuenta con una canasta exportadora, la cual está conformada por 90 empresas de los 14 municipios del departamento de sectores como la agroindustria, sistema moda, tecnología, turismo, entre otros.
La secretaria de Desarrollo Económico y Competitividad, Ana María Valencia Gómez, destacó el trabajo articulado que viene liderando la Gobernación con las Cámaras de Comercio, invest in Pereira, lo que ha permitido aumentar las exportaciones, incrementar el trabajo formal, subir la competitividad, todo esto con el fin de mejorar la calidad de vida de los risaraldenses.
Valencia Gómez recordó que si bien las exportaciones han tenido un crecimiento significativo, aún las ventas externas se concentran en pocos bienes y destinos, lo que representa un gran desafío para la aspiración de reducir la dependencia de los hidrocarburos.
“Las exportaciones de Risaralda representaron en promedio 1,2 % de las exportaciones nacionales entre 2012 y 2020. En 2021, las exportaciones totales de Colombia fueron de 41.224 millones de dólares. Al compararlas con lo registrado en 2020 (primer año de pandemia), la variación fue de 32,7 por ciento, y de 4,4 por ciento, frente a 2019, de acuerdo con datos reportados por el Dane.”, explicó la funcionaria.
Ante este panorama y apostándole a la reactivación económica Risaralda asumió el reto de diversificar su canasta exportadora. Desde el 2021 se inició la construcción del portafolio de la canasta exportadora.

De las 319 empresas que se inscribieron quedaron seleccionadas 90 para pertenecer al portafolio exportador de Risaralda con la participación de todos los municipios del departamento.
Valencia Gómez expresó que las empresas seleccionadas cuentan con capacidades de exportación y fueron elegidas mediante un proceso de diagnóstico individual que permitió identificar sus capacidades de internacionalización.
Quedaron en el Portafolio: 17 marcas de café especiales. 46 empresas de agroalimentos, 2 empresas de agroalimentos para mascotas; 19 empresas de moda; 4 empresas de flores; 3 empresas de servicios; 14 empresas de turismo, y 2 empresas de otros sectores.
Todas las empresas seleccionadas tienen la capacidad de exportar y fueron seleccionadas con algunos criterios elegidos por profesionales en internacionalización.

Para el representante de Café Famosta, marca incluida en el Portafolio Exportador, Daniel Ospina Tamayo, este es un logro de reactivación que asumió la Gobernación en equipo con el sector gremial y el Gobierno Nacional. “El desafío seguirá siendo diversificar la canasta exportadora, lo que significa dejar de depender de las ventas externas de hidrocarburos y lograr que otros productos alcancen el protagonismo, pues aún las exportaciones se concentran en estos pocos bienes y pocos destinos.”.
