Un grupo táctico de rescate en alturas del Cuerpo Oficial de Bomberos de Pereira se prepara desde ahora para atender cualquier contingencia que se presente en la operación del Megacable, prevista para el segundo semestre del 2019.
El cabo Rodrigo Alonso Castaño Gallego y una comisión del grupo, visitaron las oficinas del cable aéreo en la Alcaldía de Pereira, para ponerse a disposición del proyecto.
El grupo está integrado por 18 unidades, se denomina Equipo Táctico de Rescate Bradypus, en homenaje a un oso perezoso que habita en esta zona y ha sido visto cerca del cerro Canceles, lugar donde estará ubicada una de las estaciones del cable aéreo.
Los especialistas cuentan con innumerables experiencias en rescate de alturas, pero en esta ocasión se están formando para reaccionar en cualquiera de las contingencias que pudieran presentarse durante la etapa de construcción y en la operación del Megacable.
El ingeniero Juan Pablo López Valencia, coordinador del equipo técnico del Megacable, destacó el compromiso del Cuerpo Oficial de Bomberos con la formación y preparación de sus unidades, de cara a la puesta en marcha del proyecto emblemático más importante de la ciudad en los últimos años.
