Jornada de salud, aseo, cuidado personal, orientación psicológica, alimentación y oportunidad para rehabilitarse fueron algunas de los servicios que la Gobernación de Risaralda y la Alcaldía de La Virginia ofrecieron a 40 habitantes de calle de este municipio.
A través de la estrategia departamental “Un día a la vez”, la Gobernación de Risaralda se sumó a la jornada de atención a habitantes de calle que la Alcaldía de la Virginia realizó en las últimas horas.
En esta oportunidad, más de 40 habitantes de calle ubicados en el Puerto Dulce de Risaralda se pudieron bañar, cambiar de ropa, cortarse el cabello y disfrutar de un alimento fresco.
Adicionalmente, los asistentes tuvieron una jornada de salud, con toma de pruebas rápidas de VIH y orientación psicológica.
“Aplaudimos la iniciativa de las Alcaldías Municipales para atender a este grupo poblacional, desde nuestra secretaría siempre estamos dispuestos a apoyar y sumar para que el impacto no solo sea momentáneo, como suele ocurrir con ellos, sino que a través de la alianza que tenemos con la Fundación Terapéutica Despertar les ofrecemos una oportunidad de iniciar un proceso de rehabilitación”, señaló Elizabeth Diosa, secretaria de Mujer, Familia y Desarrollo Social de Risaralda.
De igual forma, la funcionaria señaló que desde su despacho actualmente se dispone de dos puntos de Sopas Calientes para atender diariamente a más de 300 habitantes de calle. Uno de ellos está ubicado en el barrio Corocito de Pereira y el otro en el barrio La Estación Alta de Santa Rosa de Cabal.
