El presidente Gustavo Petro y el expresidente Álvaro Uribe sostuvieron una segunda reunión este martes en la Casa de Nariño, donde hablaron, principalmente, sobre la reforma tributaria.
“Sin problemas dialogamos. Dialogar es de humanos. Dialogar construye civilizaciones”, manifestó el jefe de Estado al finalizar el encuentro con el líder del Centro Democrático.
Petro estuvo acompañado del ministro del Interior, Alfonso Prada; mientras Uribe asistió con los congresistas Miguel Uribe Turbay y Óscar Darío Pérez.
En la rueda de prensa posterior a la reunión, el representante Pérez argumentó que “una reforma no puede sacrificar el crecimiento de la economía, no puede sacrificar la inversión y menos el empleo, tampoco el ahorro ni el consumo“.
Las preocupaciones del uribismo estuvieron centradas en el impuesto al patrimonio —”no debería ser permanente sino temporal“—, los dividendos —”no pueden volverse una doble tributación“— y las ganancias ocasionales.
“Quiero manifestar mi agradecimiento de manera pública al presidente Petro por esta reunión que consideramos constructiva“, expresó, por su parte, el exmandatario de los colombianos (2002-2010).
Así mismo, Uribe afirmó que “le insistimos al gobierno en que tiene una fuente de recursos que se debería estimar más en su exacta dimensión: el crecimiento de la economía y el control de la evasión“.
El líder de la derecha colombiana destacó la importancia de ser una oposición constructiva en procura de lograr acuerdos sobre las reformas que ha planteado el gobierno izquierdista.
