Los santuareños tienen todo listo para brindar una experiencia sin igual a los participantes de esta actividad que se realizará el domingo 9 de octubre de 2022.
La Caravana arrancará desde el estacionamiento de Expofuturo en Pereira, a partir de las 6:15 de la mañana, para tomar rumbo hacia uno de los ‘pedacitos de cielo’ que tiene el departamento como lo es el municipio de Santuario.
Presentaciones musicales, culturales y artísticas, los paisajes naturales más imponentes, una riqueza étnica envidiable, lo mejor de la gastronomía de la región, son algunos de los atractivos y experiencias que encontrarán los participantes de la Caravana.
Un destino lleno de vida
Tras cruzar la grandiosa puerta de entrada que en forma de arco caracteriza a este municipio, y que emula, guardadas las proporciones, a las clásicas capitales europeas, los visitantes son sorprendidos a primera vista, por la imponencia de la Calle Real.
Sus propietarios se han preocupado por recuperar las fachadas y balcones, pintados con vivos colores que evocan la filigrana y tallado de sus maderas, el típico pueblo antioqueño. Este tipo de balcones y fachadas, que hacen las delicias del turista con sus cámaras de video y fotografías, pueden apreciarse a lo largo y ancho otras zonas del casco urbano como la plaza principal y calles aledañas.
Punto de atracción turística, lo constituye también la nueva plaza de mercado ubicada en un costado del parque principal, que con su bella fachada colonial invita a los visitantes a recorrerla, disfrutar de un buen café y a conocer en su interior, uno de los mejores miradores que para disfrutar el Paisaje Cafetero tiene el occidente departamental.
Está situado a 10 km de la zona urbana de Santuario. Hace parte del Sistema Municipal de Áreas Protegidas y Suelos de Protección de Santuario. Allí funciona el Centro de visitantes de la CARDER que es y ofrece servicios de alojamiento, guía ambiental y actividades educativas.
Una de las características que simboliza la cultura popular hace referencia a las fiestas aniversarias, fiestas de la Virgen del Carmen, feria Agropecuaria y ganadera y fiesta del Ancestro Paisa. Santuario realiza a comienzos de noviembre con una variada programación artística y cultural su tradicional fiesta del disfraz, evento en el que se espera la presencia de por lo menos tres mil personas.
La Truchera Planes De San Rafael: Constituye otro de los grandes atractivos turísticos de Santuario. Localizado a 10 kilómetros de la zona urbana, ofrece a quienes lo visitan actividades de pesca deportiva, cabalgatas ecológicas, alojamiento y avistamiento de aves. Cuenta con servicio de restaurante y como plato principal la trucha en diferentes presentaciones.
