Según cifras del Dane y ProColombia, las exportaciones de la fruta para el año 2022 han tenido un crecimiento del 19,7% alcanzando los 11,4 millones de dólares estadounidenses, una cifra que aún puede continuar sumando positivamente para el país, ya que en este momento el mango llega a 22 destinos internacionales. Entre los cuales se encuentran Canadá, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Catar, Guatemala, Francia, España, Países Bajos y Kuwait como los mayores compradores y consumidores de mango colombiano.
Por su parte, el Ministerio de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural informó que el país cuenta con 35.000 hectáreas sembradas actualmente con mango, mientras que Cundinamarca es el departamento que mayor producción de la fruta, seguido por Antioquia y Norte de Santander, a la vez que se incluye a Bogotá y Tolima como los mayores exportadores.
