El mandatario dijo desde el Urabá antioqueño que no se quedará callado porque “eso no puede ser el presidente de la República”.
Desde el municipio de Turbo, en medio del décimo primer Diálogo Regional Vinculante, el presidente Gustavo Petro se refirió a las críticas en su contra por los pronunciamientos a través de Twitter, especialmente aquellos relacionados con los temas económicos.
Dijo que quieren tenerlo en silencio, pero que esa no es la figura de un presidente y resaltó que se seguirá manifestando en la plaza pública.
“Por allí andan, leí en las redes sociales, diciendo el presidente tiene que silenciarse porque la crisis económica está muy brava , entonces quieren un presidente callado que no hable, que simplemente deje hacer y deje pasar. No, eso no puede ser el presidente de la República”, señaló.
Y por eso aseguró: “El presidente no va a hablar en Twitter, quizás, en Facebook, pero el presidente de la República va a hablar en la plaza pública, frente a su pueblo, constante, sonante y personalmente. Puede que nos equivoquemos, puede que acertemos, hoy se acercan nubes tormentosas económicas, sociales, políticas, ¿quién dijo que el cambio iba a ser fácil y que no era sino sonar los dedos para que se produjera? Los cambios siempre son difíciles ”.
El mandatario, además, puntualizó: “Un poco mi responsabilidad es lograr sobreaguar a través de las resistencias al cambio para que no se produzcan en Colombia, para que no se produzcan violencias y autoritarismos”.
Por su parte, también lanzó una fuerte crítica a las empresas petroleras y de carbón, pues, según el mandatario, son responsables, en parte, de la devaluación del peso colombiano.
