En total, el equipo nacional, dirigido por Elías del Valle, alcanzó 18 medallas de oro, 13 de plata y 10 de bronce.
Argentina fue la locación elegida este año para realizar la competencia que reúne patinadores de todas partes del mundo. En esta edición, Colombia brilló gracias al buen desempeño de sus deportistas.
Con este nuevo triunfo, ya son en total 19 títulos mundiales de Colombia en el patinaje de velocidad, 12 de ellos logrados de forma consecutiva, lo que convierte al país en la máxima potencia mundial de esta modalidad del patinaje que no está incluida en el programa de los Juegos Olímpicos desarrollados hasta ahora.
Fabriana Vargas, una de las patinadoras más talentosas del combinado nacional, afirmó que son campeones mundiales, y que su felicidad es infinita, adicional, representar al país, escuchar el Himno, ver a los colombianos que los acompañan y celebran con el equipo es algo increíble, agregó que es la semana más espectacular que ha vivido en los últimos 12 años y se sienten muy orgullosos de alcanzar los objetivos, este nuevo título es para Dios, las familias que siempre están con los deportistas y para todo el país por el apoyo, afirmó la patinadora colombiana.
Adicionalmente, el entrenador, Iván Alejandro Vargas, resaltó que a pesar del recambio generacional que se ha realizado, se confirmó que Colombia es un país de patinaje en todo el territorio nacional.
La mayor parte de las medallas de Colombia en esta edición de los World Skate Games llegaron del patinaje de velocidad. El otro título del mundo lo alcanzó el vallecaucano Brayan Carreño en el patinaje artístico.
