• Hay gran inquietud de los concejales en Pereira por el deterioro del Estadio Mora Mora, que muy pronto será el escenario para el desarrollo del tradicional torneo de fútbol aficionado “Copa Ciudad Pereira”.
Carmen Julia Gutiérrez, Directora Ejecutiva de la Corporación Deportiva Pereira – Cordep, se presentó ante los concejales de Pereira para dar a conocer su informe de actividades en lo corrido del año.
En primer lugar el concejal Carlos Mario Gil Castañeda mostró su preocupación por el deterioro de la cubierta del Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas y dijo que no se está haciendo mantenimiento preventivo para evitar que se deteriore aún más. “Cuál es la inversión social de Cordep en los escenarios, teniendo en cuenta que son del municipio y se mantienen en gran medida con recursos de la ciudad, pero los administra la Corporación y no hay una compensación social”.
Por su parte, el concejal Carlos Alfredo Crosthwaite dijo que hay una crisis en los escenarios deportivos y se cae a pedazos la infraestructura deportiva en la ciudad. “Creo que ninguno de los escenarios ha sido revisado en materia de infraestructura y es un acto de irresponsabilidad permitir el ingreso de gente al Estadio Mora Mora, cuando se evidencia deterioro permanente en su infraestructura, son graderías obsoletas y es un riesgo para la gente”.
En su intervención el concejal Carlos Henao señaló que la Corporación le debe al municipio alrededor de $10 mil millones por impuesto predial y preguntó sobre las acciones de la entidad para pagar esta deuda al municipio. “La Corporación ha manejado predios y escenarios durante muchos años sin pagar impuestos y no podemos seguir con esa deuda, nadie responde por esa situación”.
Así mismo, el concejal Mauricio Noreña indicó que los ingresos de la Corporación no superan los $90 millones y los gastos de funcionamiento son de $85 millones y se evidencia que es una empresa que poco a poco se va apagando. “Cuáles son las propuestas y proyectos para incrementar los ingresos, porque hay recursos públicos que se invierten allí y los escenarios deportivos aún tienen obras inconclusas”.
El concejal Pablo Giordanelli expresó su preocupación e indagó en por qué el municipio tiene que pagar la cubierta del Estadio Hernán Ramírez que está en mal estado y hacer la negociación con la aseguradora, cuando es Cordep la que administra este escenario. También se refirió al Estadio Mora Mora y señaló que son inaceptables las condiciones en que se encuentra. “No entiendo por qué permitieron que llegara a ese estado de deterioro, está a punto de derrumbarse y no se ha hecho un mantenimiento preventivo”.
Igualmente, el concejal Carlos Torres se mostró muy preocupado por el futuro de la Corporación, ya que el municipio y la nación han hecho mejoras en los escenarios deportivos, pero se evidencia deterioro en varios. “Si no hay dinero, cómo se va a invertir para mejorar estos escenarios, qué proyectos financieros a corto, mediano y largo plazo hay para sacar la Corporación de la situación financiera en que se encuentra y lograr que los escenarios deportivos estén en buen estado y al servicio de los ciudadanos”.
El vicepresidente primero del Concejo César Gómez también expresó su inquietud, especialmente frente al diamante de béisbol que constituye un escenario muy importante para jóvenes y niños y no fue tenido en cuenta en el informe presentado en la plenaria y agregó que no hay herramientas para presentar propuestas para el mejoramiento de los escenarios.
