De acuerdo con las últimas cifras del Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadísticas (DANE) durante el periodo de enero a septiembre de 2022, las exportaciones colombianas ya superaban los US$43.828,9 millones , alcanzando en tan solo los primeros nueve meses del año la cifra total del año pasado. Providencia contribuyó a esta cifra al consolidar su posición en el mercado internacional con la exportación de su azúcar orgánica, un producto de alta calidad que a la fecha representa cerca del 43% de las exportaciones de la empresa vallecaucana.
De acuerdo con la información de La Asociación de Cultivadores de Caña de Azúcar de Colombia (Asocaña), en el país se producen 2.2 millones de toneladas de azúcar, de las cuales Providencia aporta el 14% con sus líneas de azúcar orgánica y tradicional. Un ejemplo de cómo la industria más dulce del país ha sido parte importante en el desarrollo del Valle del Cauca y Colombia y, cómo Providencia ha potencializado su producción para satisfacer las necesidades de sus consumidores nacionales e internacionales.

Providencia ha llevado su producto orgánico a 17 países incluyendo: Italia, Países Bajos, España, Reino Unido, Japón, Corea, Singapur, Filipinas, Omán, Francia, Canadá, Ecuador, Aruba, Curazao, México, Estados Unidos y Alemania; Chile y Perú fueron los destinos a los que más se exportó azúcar tradicional.
