La Junta del emisor no frena el alza de las tasas de interés tras la inflación. Eso fue lo que dijo Bibiana Taboada, miembro de la Junta, en entrevista con la revista Semana a principios de marzo, en donde explica, además, que es posible que se necesite otra jornada de alzas.
“Pensamos que estamos cerca del fin de las subidas y también cerca del pico de inflación. Probablemente van a ser necesarios algunos aumentos adicionales, ojalá no tantos”, dijo la directiva.
La recuperación económica y la inflación han sido mucho más rápidas de lo esperado, según advierte la directiva. “Las medidas del Gobierno para ayudar a reducir la inflación pueden contribuir, pero no son un sustituto de las alzas de las tasas de interés”, explica.
“Nuestra expectativa es que al final de año estemos en niveles cercanos al 7%-8% y el próximo, llegando al rango, de entre 3% y 4%”, describe.
Además, concluye que la inflación debería empezar a ceder en los próximos meses, como también han asegurado varios expertos con relación al precio de los alimentos. Sobre esto, un análisis de Corficolombiana, en el escenario base del IPC de alimentos se estima que al cierre el año tendrá una variación anual de 15,1%, esto porque el pico ya se alcanzó en diciembre de 2022 (27,8% a/a) y en mayo la variación anual llegará a cerca de 20%.
