La Asociación Colombiana de Genética Humana y Salud Comfamiliar, realizaron el Segundo Simposio de la Asociación Colombiana de Genética Humana y el Quinto Simposio de Genes a Generaciones, durante los días 4 y 5 de noviembre, en el Hotel Movich de la ciudad de Pereira.
Este evento se realizó teniendo en cuenta la importancia de sensibilizar al personal de salud en el diagnóstico de enfermedades genéticas, enfatizando este año en la interpretación de las ayudas diagnósticas, con el objetivo de brindar un diagnóstico para minimizar el impacto desfavorable en la salud y además ofrecer la posibilidad de dar un manejo integral para mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes.
El simposio contó con la participación de conferencistas de alta calidad nacionales e internacionales, que aportaron una gran calidad académica en beneficio no solo del personal de salud sino también de los pacientes afectados con enfermedades genéticas.
