La Agencia Logística de las Fuerzas Militares, produce hoy día más 4.000 libras de café Aglo, producto excelso, de óptima calidad e insignia de la entidad y el cual es suministrado a soldados e infantes colombianos que salvaguardan el país en zonas apartadas y de difícil acceso.
Este producto elaborado por la Agencia desde 1954 y es parte de la VI edición de Expodefensa que va hasta el 6 de diciembre en Corferias, es distribuido de forma exclusiva al sector Defensa del país, y ostenta hoy día el sello de calidad de la Federación Nacional de Cafeteros y 100% colombiano.
Su especial aroma, sabor, acidez y cuerpo son condiciones que le han permitido destacarse como el producto con mayor acogida en las Fuerzas Militares y generar un reconocimiento a la Agencia por su producción y servicio.
El café es elaborado en la planta torrefactora, ubicada en el municipio de Cota (sede Parque Industrial Portos Sabana 80), la cual cuenta con una moderna infraestructura tecnológica de producción diaria gracias a la automatización de sus procesos.
Actualmente, en tiempos de posconflicto, la Agencia Logística está evaluando la posibilidad de implementar la línea de producción de café instantáneo y ampliar el mercado a otras entidades del Estado.
Paralelo a esta producción de café, la entidad también es la encargada de la dieta especial de los soldados a través de diferentes menús, los cuales son los que aportan la energía necesaria y fundamental para cumplir sus misiones.
Estas raciones que son distribuidas a los soldados de Ejército, Armada, Fuerza Aérea y Policía Nacional bajo la Norma Técnica Militar NTMD-0065-A5, establecida por el Ministerio de Defensa Nacional, ofrecen una variedad de menús con productos de calidad como son: jamoneta, torta de banano, arepa con queso, ponqué de coco, entre otros, que sin duda, son los que mantienen a los soldados al pie del ejercicio diario de protección.
