La Gobernación de Risaralda, el Comité de Cafeteros de Risaralda y la Cooperativa Departamental de Caficultores de Risaralda presentaron la estrategia conjunta para representar al departamento en Cafés de Colombia 2023, la feria de cafés especiales más importante de Latinoamérica que se llevará a cabo en Corferias, en la ciudad de Bogotá, entre el 19 y el 22 de octubre.
En esta ocasión, el departamento apuesta por la interinstitucionalidad para optimizar recursos y mejorar resultados visibles en la mejora de los perfiles y la profesionalización en la transformación y presentación de las marcas y productos, generando valor agregado para incursionar en mercados especializados donde lo que prima es la calidad.
“Estamos pasando por un gran momento porque estas instituciones tan importantes pudieron unirse en los esfuerzos para llevar a nuestros productores a una feria tan importante como es Cafés de Colombia Expo con las estrategias Risaralda Diversidad de Perfiles y nuestra marca de región Hecho en Risaralda. Detrás de estas estrategias hay muchas inversiones que al final se traducen en estos resultados y en tener cafés de alta calidad y café de especialidad”, destacó el Secretario de Desarrollo Agropecuario de Risaralda, Luis Alberto Duque.
El director ejecutivo del Comité de Cafeteros de Risaralda, Jorge Humberto Echeverri, señaló que “vamos a tener 83 participante; vamos a tener 30 emprendedores y tuvimos la oportunidad de hacerle un reconocimiento a tres ganadores de La Calle del Café, y también van a estar presentes en este stand 13 asociaciones de productores de café”.
En el marco de la feria se llevará a cabo, además de la gran muestra comercial de carácter internacional donde los asistentes podrán degustar una amplísima diversidad de perfiles cafeteros, del XVII Campeonato de Baristas, competencia organizada por Café de Colombia y avalada por la World Coffee Events.
Por su parte, Rafael Cano, emprendedor y caficultor participante de la Feria en representación del departamento, manifestó que “nuestros cafés son demasiado buenos. El tema está en, desde cada emprendimiento y marca de café, experimentar con sabores, procesos, servicios, logística y manejo de producto para generar un valor diferencial. En Risaralda tenemos con qué. Yo voy con la expectativa de conocer mucha gente en el mundo del café, de poder hacer contactos y demostrar lo que estamos haciendo”.
