La procuradora Margarita Cabello anunció este miércoles que una comisión especial de la Procuraduría evaluará medidas disciplinarias contra quienes han omitido atender las 11 recomendaciones priorizadas de la Alerta Temprana sobre riesgo electoral.
Durante la presentación del informe de seguimiento hecho por la Defensoría del Pueblo, a la Alerta Temprana 030, emitida desde agosto de 2023 por el Sistema de Alertas Tempranas, SAT, la jefa del Ministerio Público aseguró que los llamados al Gobierno Nacional, a nivel nacional, regional y local, para mitigar dichas amenazas, pasaron inadvertidos.
“El informe que hoy nos ha presentado el Defensor del Pueblo, da cuenta de la evolución del escenario de riesgo advertido y detalla el incremento de los factores de riesgo o la mitigación de los mismos, pudiendo observar la ocurrencia de conductas vulneratorias contra los derechos de la población en potencial situación de riesgo”, apuntó la alta funcionaria.
Por ello hizo un llamado al Gobierno para actuar con contundencia los últimos 10 días antes de las elecciones y recordó que la entidad analizará, con el recién creado Grupo Especial Disciplinario Electoral, conformado por cuatro procuradores delegados, las actuaciones que se adelantarán contra los responsables de atender 11 de las 48 recomendaciones priorizadas para la etapa preelectoral y electoral en la Alerta Temprana electoral 030 de 2023.
Advirtió en este sentido que “no puede haber lugares vedados en el país para realizar las elecciones, por lo que solicitamos de manera urgente a las diferentes entidades y en especial a la Fuerza Pública, presenten los planes de acción para garantizar la seguridad de candidatos y ciudadanos el próximo 29 de octubre“.
Y concluyó que no se puede confundir la firma del cese al fuego entre el Gobierno y algunos grupos al margen de la ley, con que se haya terminado la inseguridad en el país.
“No confundamos la firma de un cese al fuego con un grupo específico al margen de la ley, con los problemas de seguridad del proceso electoral, la inseguridad se ha incrementado y las autoridades competentes deben entregar soluciones claras a las alertas hechas por la Defensoría del Pueblo”, dijo.
