El Departamento Nacional de Estadística DANE destacó que Risaralda fue el departamento en el que se registró la mayor reducción de pobreza monetaria en 2022, tras publicar los resultados de la “Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares GEIH 2021-2022”.
De acuerdo con las cifras del DANE, la variación de la incidencia de la pobreza monetaria departamental en Risaralda fue de 6,8 puntos porcentuales al pasar de 36,9% en 2021 al 30,1% en 2022.
“Las acciones, programas y estrategias emprendidos por la administración Sentimiento de Todos en los territorios, para identificar y asesorar empresarios con potencial exportador, así como para buscar alternativas de comercialización en mercados internacionales, fortalecer a los productores en los municipios y reducir brechas sociales con atención directa, son las que han permitido obtener resultados en el cierre de brechas, tal como lo propuso el gobernador Víctor Manuel Tamayo en su Plan de Desarrollo”, explicó Mauricio Alberto Vega López, secretario de Planeación y Ambiente de Risaralda.
La misma encuesta arrojó resultados frente a la incidencia de la pobreza monetaria extrema en los departamentos; Risaralda pasó de 12,5% en 2021 a 9,3% en 2022, una reducción de 3,2 puntos porcentuales lo que ubica al departamento como el tercero con la mayor reducción. Cabe destacar que en 2022 la incidencia de la pobreza extrema nacional fue de 13,8%.
¿Qué mide el DANE?
El ingreso per cápita de la unidad de gasto es el resultado de dividir el ingreso corriente disponible de la unidad de gasto entre el número de personas que la conforman. Es un valor mensual y se compara con las líneas de pobreza, también mensuales.
La línea de pobreza monetaria extrema per cápita nacional en 2022 fue $198.698; en el caso de un hogar de cuatro personas fue de $794.792.
La línea de pobreza monetaria per cápita nacional en 2022 fue $396.864; en el caso de un hogar de cuatro personas fue $1.587.456.
