La Procuradora Margarita Cabello. señaló que solo en el caso del Tapón del Darién, en 2022 cruzaron hacia Panamá 248.000 migrantes, mientras que en lo corrido de 2023 lo han hecho cerca de 500.000.
Y aseguró que algunas situaciones comunes entre las fronteras de migración son: la injerencia de grupos armados ilegales en el tráfico de migrantes, la proliferación de agencias de viajes aparentemente legales que realmente están administrando ese perverso negocio y los vejámenes a que son sometidos los migrantes, como abusos sexuales, esclavitud, trata de menores de edad y microtráfico.
Frente a estas situaciones la Procuradora añadió que observa con preocupación y molestia la ausencia de liderazgo, presencia, intervención y articulación del Gobierno Nacional frente a esta crisis, a pesar de las recomendaciones hechas por su equipo tras haber estado en todos los puntos neurálgicos.
“Si no encontramos oídos que nos escuchen, ojos que nos observen y atención a nuestras reclamaciones, no dudaremos en seguir iniciando la acción disciplinaria a que haya lugar”, aseguró.
Por otro lado entregó detalles sobre los fenómenos migratorios particulares que se presentan en Ipiales, Nariño, donde proliferan los pasos ilegales o trochas, controladas por los traficantes y los migrantes permanecen en calles y parques, sin acceso al agua potable, alimentos, baños y salud, mientras consiguen dinero para continuar su travesía por la ruta entre Tumaco y Buenaventura para llegar a Centroamérica por una nueva ruta detectada en el Pacífico.
Y finalmente se refirió al fenómeno migratorio particular que se presenta en Guainía por cuenta de la minería informal que se realiza en este departamento y el estado fronterizo de Amazonas, Venezuela, donde se han presentado desplazamientos violentos de migrantes de los dos países, que sobreviven en Puerto Inírida en condiciones deplorables.
