En la jornada de este lunes sobrepasó los $3.600, $3.700 y los $3.800. Una de las causas es la histórica caída en los precios del crudo a raíz de un desacuerdo entre la Organización de Países Exportadores de Petróleo (OPEP) y Rusia.
El primer día de la semana, el dólar superó la barrera de los $3.800, luego de varios días de romper máximos históricos a raíz de la caída de los precios del petróleo y el impacto del coronavirus en los mercados internacionales. Luego del cierre de mercados, la divisa llegó a $3.812.
“El colapso de los precios del petróleo representa un inmenso desafío. El Banco de la República deberá dejar mover la tasa de cambio pero estar listo para intervenir el mercado cambiario si es necesario”, aseguró José Antonio Ocampo, otrora co-director del Banco de la República, vía Twitter. “El gobierno tendrá que anunciar cómo compensará los menores ingresos fiscales”, añadió.
Al respecto, el Emisor aseguró por medio de un comunicado que “los fundamentos de la economía colombiana se mantienen sólidos y permiten absorber los choques externos descritos sin traumatismos severos sobre la actividad real y la estabilidad financiera”, por esa razón, no anunció medidas inmediatas.
