Carder intensifica operativos para recuperar predios de protección Ambiental en Risaralda

En operativo adelantado en el predio Mesones de la vereda El Cedral, corregimiento La Florida de Pereira, las autoridades encontraron en flagrancia a tres personas invadiendo el terreno que la autoridad ambiental adquirió para protección de la cuenca alta del río Otún y los bosques andinos asociados a la misma, con lo cual se garantiza el abastecimiento de agua a la población, y se conservan ecosistemas estratégicos para la protección de la flora y la fauna.

Pereira, mayo 5 de 2020. La Corporación Autónoma Regional de Risaralda CARDER, a través de la Subdirección de Gestión Ambiental Sectorial, intensificó los operativos de vigilancia y control en los predios de la Entidad adquiridos para la conservación y protección del recurso hídrico.

Así lo confirmó el Director (e) de la Carder, Julio César Isaza Rodríguez, quien indicó que estos operativos se cumplen en conjunto con funcionarios de la Carder, la Policía Nacional, El Ejército Nacional, El CTI de la Fiscalía General de la Nación, el ICA, la Empresa Aguas y Aguas, la Corregiduría de La Florida y la Secretaría de Desarrollo Rural de Pereira.

En el operativo las autoridades encontraron en flagrancia a tres hombres ocupando el terreno propiedad de la CARDER, quienes fueron puestos a disposición de la Fiscalía General de la Nación. En esta acción también se decomisaron cinco bovinos y cinco equinos que quedaron en custodia del municipio de Pereira, en la plaza de ferias. Los delitos imputados son reiterativos, pues el año pasado ya se había adelantado un operativo similar por ocupar ilícitamente el terreno de la Corporación.

La Carder continuará controlando e imponiendo las medidas pertinentes a estas actividades ilegales puesto que los páramos, como fuentes abastecedoras, no pueden ser afectados por acciones de particulares como la ganadería que generan una deforestación agresiva afectando ecosistemas estratégicos y lugares de protección y conservación del recurso hídrico.
