Aunque hace unos años un auto volador parecía solo posible en las películas, lo cierto es que en Dubái se presentó el primer vehículo de este tipo que será vendido desde 2023.
Así fue la presentación del vehículo
Aunque muchas empresas se encuentran desarrollando prototipos de coches voladores, la compañía china Xpeng Aerpth presentó en la ciudad de Dubái el primero que será vendido.
Fue presentado en la feria tecnológica Gitex Global y contó con un vuelo que fue abierto al público, donde asistieron alrededor de 150 asistentes entre los que se encontraban autoridades del sector.
La empresa asiática realizó el primer vuelo de exhibición en el que se expuso el auto a las condiciones de utilización normales y, tras completar todas las evaluaciones de riesgos en la operación, la Autoridad Civil de Dubái le ha permitido obtener el permiso de vuelo especial.
El primer vuelo fue realizado en el Skydive en Dubái ubicado cerca de la famosa isla llamada “The Palm”. En este lugar hay unas condiciones muy favorables de vistas panorámicas y espacio aéreo.
Cómo es el primer auto volador que será vendido
La última versión lanzada por la compañía tiene un despegue y aterrizaje vertical y los fabricantes se han preocupado porque sea completamente eléctrico.
Sus principales características técnicas son que el vehículo puede alcanzar una velocidad de 130 kilómetros por hora, puede volar a una altura de 1.000 metros y tiene una autonomía de 35 minutos.
El coche tiene un diseño minimalista, tiene una cabina cerrada en forma de gota y cuenta con tecnología de punta, así como un equipamiento de última generación. Su estructura completa está hecha en fibra de carbono y aluminio para reducir el peso del vehículo.
El auto, que fue llamado Xpeng X3, tiene dos opciones de manejo, la primera para conducir por carretera y la segunda para volar. Cuenta con un sistema de plegado de las aspas para realizar la conversión entre las dos formas de conducirlo.
Este último modelo es muy parecido a los anteriores con dos rotores horizontales, pero ahora fue optimizado para distribuir un sistema de múltiples rotores, esto se hizo para mejorar el manejo, la seguridad y la confiabilidad.
El Xpeng X3 o eVTOL X3 tiene un peso de 1936 kilogramos y su longitud es de 6 metros, la modificación que se le realizó fue instalar un sistema de 8 rotores en forma de X para mejorar la potencia del vehículo.
El coche tiene dos plazas y no produce emisiones de CO₂ durante su vuelo, puede realizar vuelos con baja altitud y de corta distancia y cuenta con dos modos de conducción, uno autónomo y otro manual.
Cuál es la empresa que presentó el vehículo
La compañía asiática que desarrolló el coche se llama Xpeng Aeroht que es una empresa que se dedica principalmente a la construcción de aviones, siendo una de las más importantes.
Ahora quiere ingresar en el mercado de estos coches, llevando ya varios años mostrándose como una de las marcas asiáticas más avanzadas tecnológicamente, pudiendo llegar a ser competencia directa de las grandes marcas en Estados Unidos y Europa.
Además de los autos que vuelan, la compañia ya tiene varias propuestas de vehículos eléctricos, como los Xpeng P5 y Xpeng P7 que pronto saldrán al mercado como novedades automovilísticas.
La experiencia que por años ha adquirido en el diseño y construcción de aviones, ha llevado a la empresa a hacer una apuesta adaptando la tecnología de aterrizaje vertical (VTOL) a los autos para que puedan así volar.
Aunque el precio no está confirmado, se cree que puede llegar a costar ente 150.000 y 250.000 euros. Esta tecnología servirá principalmente para vuelos urbanos cortos, transporte de mercancías o como transporte médico de urgencia.
