La vicepresidenta de la República dice que a Colombia le han tocado los sectores “menos pudientes, menos calificados” de Venezuela.
Ante el Consejo Permanente de la Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA), la vicepresidenta Marta Lucía Ramírez calificó de “desproporcionada” la cantidad de migrantes venezolanos que ha recibido Colombia.
“Colombia no tiene la capacidad de seguir asimilando nuevos migrantes y refugiados provenientes de Venezuela. Por eso tenemos que trabajar todos”, puntualizó la también ministra de Relaciones Exteriores. Al territorio nacional han llegado 1,8 millones de ciudadanos del vecino país.
Según Ramírez, la primera etapa de la migración venezolana reside en países como EE. UU., Canadá y España, mientras que a Colombia le han tocado los sectores “menos pudientes, menos calificados”.
“Son casi 30 % del total de migrantes venezolanos que han salido hasta hoy. ¿Sabemos si no van a salir más?, ¿sabemos si no están saliendo todos los días nuevos migrantes?, ¿cómo poder entonces asimilarlos?, ¿quién va a hacerlo?”: Marta Lucía Ramírez, vicepresidenta de Colombia.
A la fecha han sido otorgados más de 611.000 permisos mediante el Estatuto Temporal de Protección para Venezolanos, detalló el director de Migración Colombia, Juan Francisco Espinosa, en la sesión de la OEA.
