La Registraduría informó a partir de qué fecha será requerida y para qué.
La Registraduría Nacional de Estado Civil informó que a partir del 1 de septiembre de 2022, los colombianos podrán adquirir, por primera, vez de forma gratuita, la cédula digital y será obligatoria a partir del segundo trimestre del 2023.
La Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil, como alternativa a la constante perdida de documentos de cientos de ciudadanos, habilitó la opción de tener el documento de forma online. La cédula digital se otorga al titular a través del celular, que se activará en el Smartphone, IOS o Android, del colombiano visualizándose de igual forma que la versión física.
Pese a que muchas naciones exigen visa para el ingreso de colombianos a sus territorios, son también varios los países a los que se puede viajar sin la necesidad de tener un pasaporte, en este caso, con la cédula digital.
Según informó la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil, los colombianos ya pueden entrar a Argentina, Brasil, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Perú, Paraguay y Uruguay, también conocidos países de la Comunidad Andina, únicamente presentando su cédula digital.
“Esto homóloga la nueva cédula de ciudadanía colombiana como un documento de viaje, lo que quiere decir es que los colombianos, portando este documento de identidad, pueden desplazarse hacia los países que hacen parte de la Comunidad Andina sin un pasaporte“, detalló Didier Chilito, director Nacional de Identificación, en un video publicado en redes sociales.
El registrador explicó que entre las principales características de la cédula digital está la imposibilidad de falsificación o adulteración, se permite la identificación y autenticación biométrica, la imposibilidad de suplantación o usurpación de identidad y la protección de datos personales
Para quienes deseen cambiar la cédula de hologramas o requieran el duplicado tiene un valor de $55.750, los cuales pueden ser consignados a través de PSE en la página web de la Registraduría Nacional, www.registraduria.gov.co , o en los puntos autorizados de Efecty, SuperGiros, Matrix, Banco Popular y 4-72.
