En un 82% de los trabajos avanza la construcción de la primera fase de la Avenida Los Colibríes, una obra de infraestructura sin precedentes en la ciudad, que se configura como una vía alterna para descongestionar la alta saturación vehicular que tiene la doble calzada Pereira – Cerritos. Con un total de 3.4 kilómetros de extensión, esta avenida se posiciona como una de las mayores obras de infraestructura de la actual administración, y su desarrollo marcará un hito en el crecimiento y desarrollo de nuestra ciudad.
La Avenida Los Colibríes consta de la construcción de dos amplias calzadas, que cuentan con un total de 6 carriles para facilitar el flujo vehicular en ambas direcciones. Además, la avenida está diseñada pensando en la sostenibilidad y la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos, por lo que incluye zonas verdes y una moderna cicloruta, que promoverá la movilidad en bicicleta y la interacción con la naturaleza.
“En este momento estamos instalando más de 2 kilómetros de asfalto en primera capa, nos falta para apertura pavimentar los últimos 300 metros de vía como tal, de igual forma, estamos trabajando en temas de urbanismo e instalando todo lo que tiene que ver iluminación LED en la zona”, explicó el secretario de Infraestructura, Milton Hurtado. La construcción de esta avenida mejorará la conectividad en el sector de Cerritos y la vereda El Tigre, y al mismo tiempo, fomentará un estilo de vida más saludable y amigable con el medio ambiente.
De igual manera, la administración municipal avanza con la compra de predios que se debe gestionar para iniciar con las obras de construcción de la fase II de esta obra, en donde se están llevando a cabo procesos de negociación con los propietarios de los terrenos involucrados. Según el funcionario, esta labor incluye la realización de tasaciones, estudios de impacto ambiental y planificación detallada, para garantizar que la adquisición de predios se realice de manera justa y de acuerdo con todas las regulaciones locales y nacionales.
