La institución adoptó medidas de seguridad para que el regreso a los hogares fuera seguro y en paz.
Durante este puente festivo, hombres y mujeres de la Policía Nacional estuvieron dispuestos a atender las inquietudes de la ciudadanía, concientizando a través de campañas educativas sobre el auto-cuidado. En este sentido, los uniformados realizaron patrullajes constantes en los sectores de mayor afluencia y movilidad de público.
Así fue como se fortaleció el dispositivo de seguridad vial y movilidad, mediante el incremento de los planes de control sobre las conductas de mayor riesgo de accidentalidad como embriaguez, exceso de velocidad y el no acatamiento de las normas de tránsito; también se incrementaron los planes de inspección y verificación técnico – mecánica y al estado psicoanímico de los conductores; de la misma manera se ejerció un especial control al transporte de pasajeros y buses escaleras de empresas prestadoras de servicio turístico.
En el plan retorno
mediante diferentes controles en las vías y en la terminal de transportes, se desarrolló el Plan Retorno, presentándose tres accidentes de tránsito, dos de ellos en la vía Cerritos, el otro en la vía Armenia – Pereira, resultando lesionada una persona.
Terminal de Transporte
Se movilizaron 6.845 vehículos y 65.367 pasajeros que transitaron por este importante lugar, al igual que en las vías nacionales se contó con una movilidad de 32.904 vehículos y 164.520 pasajeros, realizándose 24 comparendos y 11 inmovilizaciones por diferentes infracciones de tránsito.
Objetivo
El Plan Retorno busca desarrollar procesos de seguridad, prevención y aplicación de la norma tendientes a optimizar la movilidad y reducir el riesgo de accidentes de tránsito por las vías nacionales mediante la ejecución de planes, con el fin de sensibilizar y promover la cultura ciudadana para reducir los riesgos que se hacen evidentes con la frecuente ocurrencia de accidentes de tránsito.
Recomendaciones
Es necesario que todos los conductores tengan en completo orden el equipo exigido para atender sus emergencias en las vías, lo mismo que el maletín de medicamentos para primeros auxilios.
Para los conductores de vehículos de servicio público como buses y busetas se hace necesario no llevar sobrecupo de pasajeros y hacer el chequeo exigido para comprobar que el carro se encuentre en perfecto estado de funcionamiento.
