• Para el 2021 se espera que siga en aumento la movilización de usuarios y vehículos.
La Terminal de Transportes de Pereira tuvo una disminución en el movimiento de vehículos del 49.28 % y de usuarios del 38.95 % durante el 2020. Así lo informó su gerente, Héctor Fabio Artunduaga, quien enfatizó los cambios en todos los sectores por cuenta de la aparición del COVID-19 y las medidas para afrontar la emergencia sanitaria.
Desde el mes de marzo, cuando por instrucción del Gobierno Nacional los mandatarios locales y departamentales se acogieron a las medidas de toque de queda total en el país; la salida de vehículos en la terminal pasó de 63.878 y 58.032 en enero y febrero del 2020, a 37.714 en marzo y 1.226 en abril, siendo esta la cifra más baja del mismo año. Por otro lado, en marzo y abril 2020, se movilizaron 304.896 y 5.079 usuarios respectivamente y que en comparación con el mismo periodo del 2019, la diferencia es de más de 800.000 usuarios.
Héctor Fabio Artunduaga, Gerente del Terminal de Transportes de Pereira, comentó al respecto: “respecto al tema de movimiento de usuarios en el Terminal de Transportes, tenemos como conclusión que en el año 2019 se movilizaron 7.055.540 pasajeros.
Con respecto al año 2020, tenemos una cifra de 2.747.902, es decir, un 38 % de la cantidad que se movilizó el año inmediatamente anterior. La diferencia entonces entre el 2019 y 2020 es de 4.307.638. La misma situación se presenta con los vehículos; en el año 2019 del Terminal de Transportes de Pereira salieron 758.964 vehículos y en el año 2020 a diciembre salieron 373.984, es decir, 385 mil vehículos menos. Nosotros tenemos como expectativa en el Terminal de Transportes, para el año 2021, encontrar equilibrio tanto en los despachos, como en los pasajeros”.
De esta manera, el compromiso es con los usuarios y la prestación del mejor servicio, con calidad, seguridad y por ahora, siguiendo con el cumplimiento de las normas y las medidas de bioseguridad para garantizar el bienestar de todos.
