La Alcaldía de Medellín presentó este viernes la Feria de las Flores, que este año será entre el 5 y 15 de agosto y 100 por ciento presencial, luego de dos años de programación irregular por la pandemia del covid-19.
La ciudad espera recibir 30.000 visitantes en los diez días y una derrama económica de 30 millones de dólares, según la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico.
Álvarez Narváez, secretario de Cultura de la ciudad, destacó que este año habrá más de 3.000 artistas, 13 escenarios y 80 eventos. Una de las mayores novedades es que vuelve a las calles el Desfile de Silleteros, una tradición que lleva 65 años.
“Lo más importante es el desfile, que vuelve a la calle, con los silleteros desfilando por todas las calles. Vamos a tener un número más alto de silleteros, 520, viene un cierre que queremos hacer para reconocer talentos en la ciudad en el estadio Atanasio Girardot, las rutas de las flores”, manifestó.
Alejandro Arias, secretario de Desarrollo Económico, afirmó que se tendrá una ocupación hotelera por encima del 90 por ciento.
“Esperamos que durante esos días de feria lleguen entre 2.800, a 3.000 diarias, o sea, aproximadamente 30.000 personas. De esas, el 40 por ciento serán visitantes internacionales y el 60 por ciento visitantes nacionales. Hacemos un promedio de que un visitante nacional consume al día, a parte de hospedaje, sino de una derrama directa en el comercio o en el consumo, de 78 dólares diarios, mientras que uno extranjero, de 110“, indicó Arias.
La Feria generará más de 6.500 empleos, se lanzará oficialmente el 27 de julio y algunos artistas invitados son Totó la Momposina, Adriana Lucia, Miranda, Karen Lizarazo, Wilfrido Vargas, Kapla y Miky, Reykon, Andy Rivera, Andy Montañez, El Tropicombo, los hermanos Aicardo, Peter Manjarrés, Choquibtown y Kevin Johansen.
