Una nueva mesa de la legalidad liderada por el Gobierno de la Ciudad se realizó recientemente, en la cual se tocaron diversos temas en materia de movilidad, como la prestación del servicio, la seguridad ciudadana y los cambios que presentaría la medida restrictiva de Pico y Placa en sus horarios a partir de la próxima semana.
En la reunión participaron el director del Instituto de Movilidad de Pereira, Herman Calvo, el Secretario de Gobierno Álvaro Arias, representantes de AMCO, Policía Nacional, autoridades de Tránsito de Santa Rosa y La Virginia, el gerente del Terminal de Transportes de Pereira, Héctor Fabio Artunduaga, representantes del gremio del transporte público, individual, masivo y colectivo.
“Aclaramos inquietudes respecto a competencias entre Área Metropolitana, Instituto de Movilidad, Secretaría de Gobierno y gremio del transporte público de la ciudad, tanto colectivo como masivo. Muy importante ponernos de acuerdo en estas mesas de la legalidad para tomar decisiones en conjunto que permitan mejorar la movilidad la ciudad y el transporte público legal”, indicó Herman Calvo, director de la entidad.
Algunos de los puntos que quedaron sobre la mesa fueron:
1. Continuar con los controles al transporte informal.
2. Empezar a operar con el nuevo Pico y Placa, primero en etapa pedagógica y luego sancionatoria.
Por su parte, Olger Ceballos, vocero de los taxistas expresó que durante la mesa se hizo seguimiento a las tareas que se habían dejado en la pasada mesa de la legalidad; como el informe desde el Instituto de Movilidad en controles al transporte informal, así como el acompañamiento por parte de la Policía Nacional a los operativos que realizan los Agentes de Tránsito, la reestructuración del pico y placa y el acompañamiento de las autoridades y la Secretaría de Gobierno al gremio de los taxistas con el Plan Navidad.
“Seguiremos trabajando con los taxistas en materia de comunicación y seguridad en todos los sitios de la ciudad. Con más de 800 hombres del Ejército Nacional, cubriremos los ingresos y lassalidas de la ciudad; realizando verificación de documentos, de antecedentes y porte ilegal de armas”, afirmó el Secretario de Gobierno, Álvaro Arias.
Al finalizar la mesa de la legalidad, desde el Gobierno de la Ciudad se reiteró el agradecimiento al gremio de los taxistas y de los diferentes prestadores del servicio de transporte público de la ciudad, por trabajar en conjunto en beneficio de la ciudad, la comunidad y la movilidad.
Además se reiteró la invitación a seguir prestando un buen servicio, legal y seguro a todos los pereiranos. Por su parte los taxistas también resaltaron la generación permanente de los espacios a través del diálogo y la concertación.
