Según la entidad, uno de los lotes fue vendido a 54 dólares por libra, mientras que el otro logró venderse a 35 dólares por libra, de esta manera se conoció que el precio de 54 dólares es un nuevo récord en la historia de subastas de cafés de Colombia, toda vez que en 2017 se había logrado un precio máximo de 50,50 dólares, durante una feria.
“Nos complace registrar estos resultados que confirman la calidad del café de Colombia y la necesidad de seguir buscando en todos los escenarios posibles la corresponsabilidad de la cadena de valor del café para que el caficultor reciba un precio más justo”, dijo el gerente general de la Federación Nacional de Cafeteros (FNC), Roberto Vélez.
